Your definition for troll is not one I've ever heard before, I think you're describing something else. Trolls are generally just apathetic, almost nihilistic - or at least present like this - and don't really care either way about what happens to people they interact with. Or maybe I'm just not familiar with how the word 'troll' is used in gaming spaces. Either way, I think you're missing something important. The reason these two sides usually seem to be talking about different things is because that's literally what's happening. The experience of being the victim after a long core mining trip is quite literally *playing a different game* compared to the pirate who happened to be in the right system with a ship that has an interdictor. Another thing that I think is important, which you also missed here, is that the victim often doesn't interact with the ganker outside of getting shot by them. So, if you get ganked and blown to bits, it doesn't change anything if the person who killed you is roleplaying, trolling, or griefing, because it's entirely possible that you don't get to exchange a single message. Plus, everyone else has already brought up the relative investment being heavily skewed in favor of the ganker. Piracy is very profitable when you have nothing to lose and millions to gain. I don't think I have anything to add here that wasn't already said though.

Being caught in a black hole is like falling forever. And you're falling faster and faster. Until you're falling so fast that the gravitational pull rips you apart. The biggest misconception about black holes is that they suck everything in. But sucking implies that there is air. A black hole is just gravity at it's most extreme. It doesn't suck, it pulls. Like falling here on earth. I think what makes them so eerie is because they are kind of a paradox. They form when stars collapse in on their own gravity. But when that happens, it almost the collapse just kind of keeps going indefinitely, and as a result rips a hole in the fabric of spacetime itself. The theory is that the laws of physics inside a black hole either seizes to exist, or works completely differently. It's like they break the system. It's like because there's so much mass concentrated into a single spot, it just creates this irreversable gravitational collapse that just kind of keeps going. Black holes are definitively some of the most interesting, powerful and spooky objects in the universe. There was a theory that the universe would eventually collapse in on itself as it gets filled with more and more black holes. That essentially the gravitational pull of all the black holes would cause the universe to slow down and eventually collapse back in on itself. It's the so called "big crunch" theory. But now some scientists are starting to believe that there is something causing the universe to accelerate as opposed to slowing down.

Late ass comment but for some reason I can’t summon anyone random. I can summon my friends no problem, I can get summoned by my friends, but I CANT for the life of me summon anyone random. Anyone know a fix?

Does anyone know why im suddenly not able to summon my friend? 3 of us were playing and he crashed and after that he cant summon us or us summoning him. in the same area we can summon other people, and he can too. but not us. we tried with and without passwords. gold and red signs. made sure we used remedies, area boss is not dead, etc..

bit late but i started elden ring on pc. with my main character with 11h playtime cant see any signs, nor can i get summoned BUT i can see blood puddles and messages. I tried it today with a new character, went to the church in the beginning, crafted that one item that makes me able to see and summon people and directly saw one sign. Does that mean my main character is bugged? is there a fix for it?

Agnews' Folly in Vequess, it was my home station in Elite 2 and 3 so I thought why change in Elite 4. It's close to Achenar, which suits this loyal imperial, and in Elite II you could attain the rank of Prince in a matter of days just by doing navy missions back and forth between Vequess and Facece.
